Some derelicts and lawbreakers targeted the home of Fox TV host Tucker Carlson. They should have been thrown in jail.
I get it, his views are mean, his politics are too far right, and he panders to ratings. But his driveway shouldn’t be spray-painted. At least the jackals didn’t shoot Carlson like a Trump supporter shot civilians. They didn’t send bombs through the mail, like another Trump supporter. But they’re wrong. Really wrong. Soon, all major news figures are going to be under siege, on both sides. We are going to be like the Banana Republics when it escalates. You did it, so we’re doing it….and then a TV personality is killed. It’s coming.
But what really gets me is this statement from Fox after the Carlson incident.
“We as a nation have become far too intolerant of different points of view,” the statement said. “Recent events across our country clearly highlight the need for a more civil, respectful, and inclusive national conversation.”
Are you kidding? It televises nightly binges of President Trump and his rants that are absolutely “intolerant of different points of view” and Fox goes off on the protesters.
How can you have a civil conversation when Trump’s state media, Fox, is cheering on his invective?
